Hi! So my name is Caroline and I am the founder of the Overall Health & Fitness Academy, also known as ‘OHFit’.
I am from the wonderful city of Charlotte, NC but am currently a student at Virginia Tech studying Human Nutrition, Food & Exercise with a concentration in Exercise and Health Promotion. At Virginia Tech, I am a personal trainer, small group trainer and group exercise instructor (cycle & Pilates) as well as founder and President of Women’s Health & Fitness Club. So basically, my whole life here at VT rotates around the gym and I love it.
Throughout my life I have been involved in fitness and nutrition. I started at a young competing in triathlons and participating on many sports teams. In high school I loved sports and concentrated on volleyball, swimming, softball and pole vaulting with some golf on the side. My love of fitness really came about when a personal trainer at an athletic development center in Charlotte helped me treat my very frustrating knee problems that I developed. Today, I would describe myself as an ‘endorphinoholic’ and I try to stay in shape anyway I can! I love to lift in weight room, teach cycle and Pilates group exercise classes at VT, run stadiums in Lane Stadium, practice yoga and hike. I am a big ‘foodie’ and love to cook nutritious meals. To bring these passions of nutrition and fitness together to hopefully help others, I created OHFit.
